Modernized Shakespeare
While I enjoy all Shakespeare, I am especially fond of the shows that have young actors who feel like they were plucked from modern day. I wanted to be in a present day Romeo and Juliet so badly that instead of waiting I decided to direct a scene of it and turn it into a short film. See link below.
Greek Adaptations
My senior year of college I directed a production of The Story of The Iliad. This was during Covid where shows had to be masked so I decided to turn it into a concept. The irrational male characters had full Greek masks to further exaggerate them, while Helen and the female chorus were in only medical masks so that we can relate to and humanize them more.
